Yes, the microSD slot is spring loaded. This surprised and pleased me at first. I read a review of the B1-730HD on the web that said that much fingerwork was needed to remove the card from the slot. That isn't true. It is easy to insert and remove the card. It just isn't perfectly straight. I just noticed this today.
